Thanks to the rise in the homestead exemption, recent reductions in our property tax rate, and the district's prudent financial policies, most homeowners in HEB ISD will notice a lower property tax bill this year compared to last year, even with the three penny increase in our tax rate.

HEB ISD will maintain one of the lowest property tax rates in our region of North Texas. It’s no surprise that our district outperforms all large districts in the state in terms of efficient spending and wise management of our tax dollars, as ranked by the Education Resource Group. 

For homeowners who are senior citizens, they will never see an increase in their tax rate because of the senior citizen homestead exemption.
